GRAPES OF WRATH showed how smart she is winning the listed Irridescence Stakes in her first try over ground. She is carrying a big weight and is dropping in trip but may still be good enough to win her seasonal debut. Stablemate MERRIMENT showed good resolve to win at the second time of asking. She must improve and could give cheek at the end. CAPTAIN'S ELECT is another well-bred sort with upside. She has drawn well, and with in-form MEG'S LEGACY has earning potential. GEORGIE GIRL was a winner at large odds last time but the way she won suggests she has ability and can keep improving.
